PROTECT OUR WORKERS AND OUR ECONOMY

Providing opportunities for training and retraining for our workers will help reduce unemployment and underemployment while providing a skilled workforce for the many companies in our state. To attract businesses to Nebraska and keep them here, we must have a strong and competitive workforce. I will work to find innovative solutions to bring business to Nebraska and create pathways for stronger employment opportunities for our workers.
Supporting workers in their rights to collectively bargain, a safe workplace, and fair and reasonable compensation in the event of injury on the job, are necessary to build and maintain a strong workforce.
Promoting tax fairness for Nebraskans by preventing the tax burden from falling on working families and small businesses is a must. Our working low and middle income earners are the backbone of our economy. Changes to the tax structure deserve careful study to ensure that they are fair for all Nebraskans.
