Investing in Michigan's Future

Canton, Van Buren and Belleville are home to our state's greatest schools. Natalie Mosher believes we must invest in our children, our greatest asset, in order to move our state forward. As the Representative of Michigan's 21st District, Natalie will fight to:

Restore funding to local school districts and protect local control for academic decision making. Enhance accountability of public charter schools and public online schools operated by for-profit corporations.
Lower the cost of higher education for students by providing greater support for our public universities and awarding more scholarships.
Teach the skills Michiganders need to compete in the global economy and excel in the jobs of the future.
Reduce class sizes so teachers can devote their attention to the needs of individual students.
Provide teacher quality grants to help Michigan teachers get advanced training in their fields.
Use every resource to support and turn around failing schools.

Early Childhood Education

A broad consensus of educational research has proven the effectiveness of early childhood education and it's time Michigan lawmakers translated this into evidence-based public policy. A great kindergarten teacher increases the total-career earnings of each class by around $320,000 on average.1 We must invest in quality early childhood education for every Michigan child.

Easing the Burden for College Students

College graduates today are entering the workforce with unprecedented amounts of student loan debt. In Lansing, Natalie Mosher will work to restore funding for the Michigan Promise Scholarship and also work to assist in loan repayment for students in certain fields like nursing, the natural sciences, and education. Natalie believes in affordable post secondary opportunities for every Michigander. We need leadership in Lansing that pledges support for all Michigan's students.
