Our Founders firmly believed that everyone was endowed rights by God, and it was the duty of government to protect and preserve those rights. Whether it is the right to free speech, to carry a Bible, to pray at a football game, to purchase and carry a gun, or keep your personal communications private, our government is to protect these rights not take them away. Protecting individual rights and liberties must return as the priority of Congress.
