Issue Position: Attract New Jobs to Arizona and Cut Taxes

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2014

Steve Pierce is working hard to attract new jobs to Arizona by lowering corporate tax rates, reducing regulatory burdens, and creating a stronger business environment to help entrepreneurs start and expand small businesses.

As your senator, Steve Pierce helped:

Significantly cut corporate income taxes
Extend business tax credits for net increases in full-time employees
Increase Research and Development tax credits
Lower business property taxes and capital gains taxes
Repeal the State Equalization Assistance Property Tax
Lower property taxes in override elections
Establish the Arizona Commerce Authority
Because of his strong record supporting job creators, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce named Steve Pierce "2011 Senator of the Year" and the National Federation of Independent Business gave him a 100% rating.

As Senate President, Steve Pierce will continue to put his years of business experience to work for us -- opposing special interest pork barrel projects and reducing our tax burden.

And to accelerate Arizona's economic turnaround, Steve is working tirelessly against rising property taxes.
