Issue Position

As millions of Alabamians are losing the health insurance they were told "they could keep" and employers are forced to lay-off workers because of rising health care costs, I am committed to fighting this massive federal overreach. Obamacare is one of the most egregious assaults on liberty this country has ever seen, and after taking office in 2011, I joined with other Attorneys General from across the country to challenge its constitutionality. My office has also joined Alabama's own Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) in its challenge to Obamacare based on its infringement on our religious freedoms, and we have been supportive of Hobby Lobby's lawsuit on similar grounds.
