Leveraging Innovation & Technology to Meet the Needs of the 21st Century Classroom

In order to meet the needs of our students and prepare them to compete in the 21st centory workforce, we have to reimagine what education looks like in Georgia. Whether finding creative ways to address budget deficits, meet the needs of nontraditional students, or connect teachers to share best practices, innovation will be key to leading the Department and meeting the demands of education today and tomorrow. As Superintendent, Alisha envisions:

Researching and developing new and insightful ways for individual school districts and the state to provide Georgia students with a more relevant, excellent education; and
Encouraging the use of data driven decisions that allow education professionals the opportunity to think outside the box to meet the needs and raise achievement for all students
Equipping every Georgia public school with state-of-the-art technology to provide students with individualized learning opportunities.
