Darlene Senger, candidate for the Illinois 11th Congressional District, was endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) today in her bid for Congress. Senger also launched her 10 day Jobs and Business Tour of the 11th Congressional District today.

"Here at home, we need representation that is going to help create jobs, spur innovation and promote investment. The endorsement from such a strong member of the business community in the NFIB shows that I am the right candidate to do that in Illinois," said Senger. "Right now, we are among the highest in taxes and highest in unemployment. We need to change things in DC so that we can change things here, where it counts."

As a State Representative, Darlene Senger has earned accolades for her work to hold the line on taxes and promote job creation in Illinois. Recently, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce awarded Darlene with their "Champion of Free Enterprise" Award for her legislative work to encourage job creation and economic expansion in Illinois and the National Federation of Independent Business honored Senger with their 'Guardian of Small Business Award' for her efforts to help small businesses in Illinois expand and succeed.

"In a short period of time Darlene Senger has had a huge impact in Springfield," said Kim Clarke Maisch, state director of NFIB/Illinois. "She's been a key supporter of small business owners at the state Capitol and we know her knowledge and expertise will be valuable in Congress."

Senger launched her 10 day Jobs and Business Tour throughout the 11th Congressional District today starting at Alarm Detection Systems and Aurora Textiles in Aurora, IL. She will be meeting with dozens of business owners, managers, and employees to discuss the local business and jobs climate and how to grow the economy over the next 10 days.
