Too many Americans are uninsured and even more are faced with healthcare costs they simply can't afford. Many are also denied coverage because of a preexisting condition, or lose their insurance when they get sick. Our healthcare system should be accessible and affordable to all Americans.

Unfortunately, Obamacare is a "job-killer" that will make every one of these problems worse, forcing employers to layoff workers. It has led to higher costs and restricted access, while thousands of Americans have lost their jobs because of government mandates with even more facing huge penalties by the IRS. Key provisions of Obamacare have been suspended because they simply won't work. In fact, the President has lifted financial mandates on corporations, but not you.

The existing healthcare system needs to be replaced by a new plan that expands consumer choice by increasing competition between providers and insurers. Consumers should be allowed to shop for less expensive plans offered in other states, and health savings accounts should be expanded allowing consumers to use more of their pretax dollars to cover their family's healthcare needs. Medical liability reform is also necessary to ensure that doctors provide the best care possible without feeling the need to order unnecessary and costly tests to avoid frivolous lawsuits.
