Issue Position

Our economy is stalled by sluggish growth and one of the slowest recoveries in history. It simply isn't providing enough opportunity for Americans who need to find a job, expand their business or hire more workers. Full time employment is becoming harder to find with the advent of Obamacare, and employers are shifting to more part-time workers.

Massive government spending, burdensome regulations and higher taxes have only made the problem worse, helping big banks and big business, while hurting working families we need to succeed. Millions are out of work or underemployed -- and more join them every day.

It's time for America to change course. To protect our local economy and grow private sector jobs, the numerous burdens government places on entrepreneurs and small businesses must be lifted.

The politicians in Washington have failed, and it is time for them to get out of the way. Let small business-owners, local manufacturers, neighborhood entrepreneurs, and family farmers lead a dynamic economic recovery and achieve a great California comeback.
