Issue Position

The 2nd Amendment is a fundamental right that protects the liberties of all Americans. My lifelong relationship with firearms includes: shooting sports in the Tahoe National Forest during a twelve-year journey to Eagle Scout, four years at West Point, and fourteen years as an Army Infantryman and combat veteran. I will do everything I can to promote and defend the rights of all law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.

We need to expand outdoor sporting opportunities such as hunting and fishing that are a mainstay of the many recreation-and resource-based jobs in the 4th District. The great outdoors is the reason so many of us have chosen to live in the district. More than just a pastime, it's a way of life…a culture. I understand this, and I look forward to championing the causes of our district's sportsmen and citizens.
