Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin today encouraged all West Virginians to prepare for potential severe weather conditions expected to occur throughout the evening of June 4 and into early Thursday morning.
"I encourage all West Virginians to prepare for the possibility of severe weather. A few items that should be on your checklist are batteries, flashlights, battery-operated radio and other necessities. Make sure friends, family members and neighbors are also prepared," said Gov. Tomblin. "Our team will continue to monitor the situation very closely, and will stay in close contact with the Office of Emergency Management Services to make sure West Virginia is prepared for potential hazardous conditions."
The West Virginia National Guard and utility providers are ready and prepared to respond quickly to affected areas.
