"For too long, questions surrounding this brutal terrorist attack have gone unanswered," said Congressman Tom Rice. "I can think of no one better to chair this committee than my colleague and friend, Congressman Trey Gowdy. Trey is an honest and fearless leader and I am confident he will get the victims' families--and Americans--the answers they deserve."
This Select Committee will investigate the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Lybia that occurred on September 11, 2012. Four Americans were brutally murdered in the attack, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
