Congressman Kingston Supports a Select Committee on Benghazi

Congressman Jack Kingston (GA-01) applauded Speaker John Boehner's decision to seek a Select Committee to investigate the September, 11 2012 attacks on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, saying, "The American people have watched this White House politicize this terrorist attack, stonewall the investigations by those seeking the truth, and lie about doing both and I am glad the Speaker has joined my call for a more robust authority to lead this investigation."

Congressman Kingston has been a cosponsor of H. Res. 36, calling for a select committee, for more than a year. He is a recent member of the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee and is a senior member of the Defense Appropriation Subcommittee.
