U.S. Rep. Dennis Ross (FL-15) issued a statement following Speaker Boehner's announcement that he intends to hold a vote to create a new select committee to investigate the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya in which four Americans were killed. For more than a year, Ross has been calling for a select committee to investigate and report on the attack.
"It is appalling that four Americans were killed more than 19 months ago in a terrorist attack on our consulate and we haven't been able to get straight answers from this administration on what exactly happened," said Ross. "Until justice is served for the families of those lost loved ones in the attack -- this effort will continue to be my priority. We demand answers and we demand justice."
