Issue Position

We need to ensure that promises made are promises kept to our seniors when it comes to Social Security and Medicare. Mike does not support efforts to privatize, raise the retirement age or increase the payroll tax. It is absolutely wrong to change the rules when so many are living paycheck to paycheck.

Mike will vote to ensure that the federal government keeps the promises it has made to seniors and to those who have paid into Social Security and Medicare. Congress must work together to prevent the financial collapse of those programs by promoting bipartisan efforts to address systemic problems and ensure its longevity for current and future generations.
