House Finance Passes Governor's Gasline Bill

Statement

Following passage of Senate Bill 138 by the House Finance Committee, Governor Sean Parnell today thanked committee members for their work to advance a large-diameter Alaska natural gas pipeline project.

"I want to thank Chairman Stoltze and committee members for passing Senate Bill 138," Governor Parnell said. "Alaskans have waited a long time for a gas pipeline, and with this legislation, Alaska is poised to become an owner in the Alaska LNG Project. Our way forward will continue to be on Alaska's terms and in Alaskans' interests."

Senate Bill 138 now moves to the House Floor.
