Palazzo Supports Republican Path to Prosperity

Congressman Steven Palazzo, (MS-4), released the following statement today after voting for the House Republican budget plan known as the "Path to Prosperity."

"What's fair is fair: if Mississippi families can live within their means, so should Washington. The Republican plan would balance the budget by cutting spending responsibly and promoting policies to encourage economic growth and job creation. It keeps faith with our men and women in uniform, seniors, and those suffering under ObamaCare's failed policies. In contrast, the President's plan never balances, increases spending by 63 percent, grows government on the backs of hardworking families, and slashes defense budgets. The Republican plan is the only serious plan to get our spending under control and put our nation back on a Path to Prosperity."

The Path to Prosperity would restore billions of dollars that the President's plan proposed to cut from defense budgets.
