America welcomes more immigrants than any nation in the world, but our immigration policy should serve our national interests and follow the rule of law. The Federal government has failed to secure the border, it has failed to enforce visas, and it has lost sight of the importance of assimilation. I support immigration reform in the areas of chain migration and birthright citizenship, and I oppose amnesty, because rewarding those who have broken the law simply encourages the next wave of illegal immigration.
