House Approves Flood Insurance Reforms

Statement

Date: March 4, 2014
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Keith Rothfus [PA-12] released the following statement after voting for H.R. 3370, the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act:

"The House took action today to provide needed relief for homeowners experiencing skyrocketing flood insurance premiums," said Rothfus. "In contrast to the Senate legislation that threatens the future of the National Flood Insurance Program, the bill approved by the House is paid for and requires reforms to continue, albeit more gradually, to make the program solvent and put it on a sustainable footing."
