Congressman Garcia Joins Homestead Man at Launch of "Pedaling for 20 Million Dreams" Journey

This Sunday, Congressman Joe Garcia will join Francisco Diaz, a 41 year old undocumented Mexican immigrant from Homestead, who will be launching his "Pedaling for 20 Million Dreams" journey.

"We've waited long enough! We must continue to fight for what is right and raise the issue for the 11 million people like Francisco, who deserve a comprehensive immigration reform bill this year" said Garcia. "This is a unified effort, both locally and nationally, and we must continue to push until we get what we need."

Diaz will ride his bicycle from Miami to DC, a 1,085 mile ride, making stops along the way to garner support in his quest to seek immigration reform and an end to deportations.

"I refuse to sit around and wait for immigration reform while families suffer" said Diaz.

The event will kick-off in Homestead at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Further event details follow below.
