Issue Position: Jobs and the Economy

Issue Position

When I came here as a new immigrant, my parents found good, well-paying jobs within months of our arrival. They prospered and even bought their own home.

America is a country where entrepreneurship and ingenuity have produced untold prosperity when ill-conceived public policy doesn't stand in the way.

Now, as a result of policies such as Obamacare, confiscatory taxation and overwhelming and costly regulations on employers, families are struggling to find full-time work, with many new jobs created being part-time, while employee benefits, such as healthcare for spouses are rapidly disappearing.

Our record as a nation shows that when we cut taxes, remove burdensome regulations and reduce government spending, the economy blossoms with jobs and abundance.

As Americans, we deserve better than the misery we are experiencing. Our current leaders say that bigger government and more stimulus, subsidies and Solyndras will solve all of our ills. I disagree.

If you send me to Congress, I will stand firm for lower tax rates and a wholesale reform of our antiquated tax code to end the giveaways of Americans' tax dollars to the politically well-connected. I will insist that regulations receive the approval of Congress, rather than being imposed on employers through unaccountable agencies. I will oppose the crushing mandates of Obamacare. Instead, I will champion freedom in bold colors.
