"The quality of a child's education should not depend on their parent's income or zip code. Middle class families need schools they can rely on." - U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.)

As the Chairwoman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions' (HELP) Subcommittee on Children and Families, Senator Mikulski is fighting to ensure that kids have the tools they need to enter school ready to learn, to succeed in elementary school and to graduate from high-school both college and career ready. Senator Mikulski's education priorities include:

· Supporting teachers
· Giving students tools to succeed academically
· Making college more affordable and accessible
· Expanding access to early learning
· Fighting for the needs of rural school districts
