U.S. Representative Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) issued the following statement today on her plans to hold a congressional hearing in Charleston on the chemical spill and water emergency:
"As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I have asked Chairman Bill Shuster to hold a field hearing in Charleston on the chemical spill and response. I'm pleased that Chairman Shuster has agreed to hold this hearing, and a date and a witness list will be released in the coming weeks. I look forward to hearing from our witnesses how this event was able to occur and what we can do to prevent a similar spill from happening again."
