Boustany Opposes Taxpayer Funded Abortions in Obamacare

Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, legislation prohibiting federal funding of abortions in federal programs. The bipartisan measure passed the House of Representatives earlier today:

"As a pro-life physician, I oppose forcing American taxpayers to fund abortions under Obamacare. I also oppose the law's secrecy clauses that prevent Americans from knowing whether a portion of their premiums will fund elective abortions. This legislation would stop these abuses, and respect Americans' freedom of religion."
