House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) released the following statement today after the House passed the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013.

"Today the House acted to put our country on a path toward economic security by passing the bipartisan budget agreement put forward by Chairmen Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Patty Murray (D-WA). While this deal is not perfect, it reflects the ability of a divided government to reduce the deficit without raising taxes. In the coming year, House Republicans will continue to show leadership by pursuing policies that will bring greater financial and economic certainty to moms, dads, young people and seniors. We will do everything we can to get people back to work and make life easier for all Americans."
