Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada's First District released the following statement in recognition of Thanksgiving Day:
"Thanksgiving Day is a day to gather with loved ones, celebrate traditions of the day, and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. It is a time to give back to our community and to show generosity to those less fortunate.
"As Southern Nevadans gather with family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Thanksgiving Day let us also take time to reflect on the servicemen and women who have risked -- and continue to risk - their lives to defend our country and protect the principles we hold so dear.
"I wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving Day."
