Hall Calls for Full "ObamaCare" Repeal, Opposes Piecemeal Fix

Statement

Today, Rep. Ralph Hall (TX-04) voted against H.R. 3350, the Keep Your Plan Act, stating the "the time for piecemeal steps to undermine "ObamaCare' is over. The entirety of "ObamaCare' must go."

The bill passed the House 261-157. Following the vote, Rep. Hall released the following statement:

"My constituents were opposed to "ObamaCare' from the onset, and they remain opposed to the President's bad health care law. The disastrous rollout of the website and open exchanges continues. Over 5 million Americans have lost their current health plans they like due to overbearing new regulations. As a result, according to a recent Rasmussen poll released November 12, 2013, over 55% of Americans believe "ObamaCare' is bad for the country and support the law's repeal.

"I have voted over 45 times to repeal this bad health care law both in part and in whole. But with 5 million Americans who have already lost their plans, and millions more facing the same fate, the time for piecemeal steps to undermine "ObamaCare' is over. The entirety of "ObamaCare' must go.

"We need a full repeal of "ObamaCare' -- anything less at this fourth quarter of the game would be a detriment to the American people. I remain focused on fully repealing the President's bad health care law and replacing it with responsible solutions that offer real personal, financial, and health security for all Americans."
