Luetkemeyer: Anemic Obamacare Enrollment Totals Show That Law is an Epic Failure

Statement

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) issued the following statement after the Department of Health and Human Services released the latest Obamacare enrollment numbers:

"The fact that fewer than 800 Missourians and fewer than 30,000 Americans have "selected" a health plan through the federal Obamacare health exchange makes it clear that the president's signature piece of legislation is an epic and costly failure. I wouldn't doubt that more pitches were thrown by the St. Louis Cardinals during the World Series than there are Missourians who have signed up for the federal exchange. This is about more than a broken website; it is about a broken law in which millions of Americans have lost their health coverage and millions more are losing access to their physicians. I look forward to voting on Friday in favor of legislation that would allow Americans to keep their health care coverage, something the president promised but failed to deliver. With leading Democrats fleeing Obamacare, it's time for the president to admit that Obamacare is a failure and end this political charade."
