Governor Sean Parnell today joined all Alaskans in offering his condolences to residents of the Philippines and all those impacted by Typhoon Haiyan. In a letter to President Benigno Aquino III, the governor pledged assistance and offered to join a national effort to provide support for the Philippines.
"Alaska has offered assistance through the United States' coordinated response, from our nation to yours," Governor Parnell said. "As your citizens face these incredibly difficult circumstances, please know that our hearts go out to you and to the families of your country."
