Rep. McKinley Votes to Keep Promises Made to American People about Their Health Care Plans

Location: Washington, DC

Today, Rep. David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-W.Va.) voted for a bill to allow individuals to keep their health plan. Rep. McKinley is an original co-sponsor of the legislation.

The bipartisan bill overwhelmingly passed the House 261 to 157, with 39 House Democrats supporting it.

"Once the problem of millions of Americans losing their health insurance was identified, we crafted a piece of legislation that would allow people to keep their current policies," said Rep. McKinley. "The bill gives the Administration one year to work with Congress to try and correct problems with Obamacare."

"Now that the House has said you can keep your own insurance, the Senate needs to follow suit," said McKinley.
