obs are still a major issue for New Jersey residents. Our unemployment rate is still well above the national average at 8.6% vs. the national average at 7.6%. We need to make sure that we provide the right balance of incentives to make our district attractive for businesses. We can't keep letting businesses leave our state with quality jobs. Invest in research, development and institutions of higher education.
Promote public private partnerships with colleges, universities and community college that will train our students and existing workforce for 21st century jobs.
Foster a climate where innovation can thrive.
Make it easier for small businesses to do business in the state.
Invest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education.
