THE MARRIAGE EQUALITY ACT:
Although the Senate did not pass the Marriage Equality Act and the bill was not put to a vote before by the Assembly, Assemblywoman Jasey emerged as one of the strongest proponents of the NJ Marriage Equality Act immediately upon assuming office. She was a proud prime sponsor of the legislation, and has spoken out in favor of marriage equality in homes, before groups and from the steps of the State House. It is an issue that is extremely important to her. Mila is an ardent supporter of Garden State Equality and its mission to achieve equality and civil rights for all New Jerseyans.
