Statement

Date: Oct. 29, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement after sending a letter to the director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency requesting its assistance with the search efforts to locate the S/V NINA in light of a new lead potentially identifying the lost vessel:

"After these recent satellite images of a floating vessel were captured, there appear to be new clues in the disappearance of the S/V NINA. While these new findings did not initiate a new official search, I am seeking the help of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency to assist in the location of the missing S/V NINA. I hope this new lead will help to locate the missing ship and the crew on board."
