Congressman Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-CA), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, made the following statement on the capture of terrorist leader Abu Anas al-Libi:

"I congratulate our troops on the heroic capture of Abu Anas al-Libi. This terrorist leader has vast intelligence value that could be key to saving lives in the future. I urge the administration to fully exploit this potential before moving al-Libi on to prosecution, rather than follow an arbitrary timeline. This can be done safely and humanely, but it must be done thoroughly."
