As of October 1, 2013, the federal government shut down because Congress could not come to an agreement on a Continuing Resolution (CR) to keep the government running.

Rep. Maffei's office will continue to to provide services to constituents across New York's 24th Congressional District during the government shutdown. Like some federal employees across Central New York, Rep. Maffei's staff will be furloughed. Staff will be furloughed on a rotating basis.

Below is the schedule for Rep. Maffei's offices during the federal government shutdown:

Hours of operation:

The Washington, DC office will be open as usual from 9 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.

The Syracuse office will be open as usual from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

The Auburn and Oswego district offices will be open 9 am to 5 pm on rotating days.

The Auburn office will be open 9 am to 5 pm on:

10/1, 10/2, 10/7, 10/8, 10/9

The Oswego office will be open 9 am to 5 pm on the following days:

10/3, 10/4, 10/9, 10/10, 10/11
