George Bush promised to leave no child behind and with the stroke of his pen yesterday he did just that to 12 million children. The President's tax bill spends billions on the wealthiest Americans and yet it is America's children who had to make the sacrifice. It is simply unconscionable that the tax bill the President signed eliminates one of the few provisions that help America's middle class families. Because the President was so intent on passing huge tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, one out of every six children won't receive a penny. We don't need more talk about family values -- we need a federal government that values families. We need a President who has the leadership to put our children's future ahead of tax cuts for the few.
