Nadler: Fast-Food Workers Deserve Fair Wages

Date: Aug. 29, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-10) released the following statement in response to today's largest-ever strike by fast-food workers:

Thousands of fast-food workers from across the country are boldly standing up for their rights and fighting for a fair wage. A day after the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, it is particularly important to remember that the march for economic justice is far from over. Since 1963, the profits of America's largest corporations continue to grow to record levels, while many working families continue to struggle to get by on remarkably low wages. I will continue to stand in solidarity with these workers in the fight for reasonable wages and economic fairness.
