Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ 07) tonight released the following statement following the President's address concerning the situation in Syria:

"President Obama's remarks this evening did not change my position against authorizing military force in Syria. I do, however, agree with the President that an international proposal to address the Syrian situation through diplomatic negotiations should be pursued."
