Chairman Carter Honors Anniversary of September 11

Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2013

Congressman John Carter (R-TX31), Chairman of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, is releasing the following statement regarding the 12th anniversary of September 11th.

"On this somber anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11, I think all Americans and all those around the world who value freedom and human dignity should take a moment to remember and honor all of those souls who made the ultimate sacrifice on that solemn day and in the days since. Our great Nation has demonstrated tremendous resolve in the 12 years since the senseless 9/11 attacks -- America's backbone may bend from time to time, but it will never break. Today, I hope we think about all those who are standing the watch right this minute to keep our country and its citizens safe and secure. And to all those who wish to harm America and its ideals, I can only hope you promptly learn the error of your warped brand of hatred. God bless those men and woman working tirelessly to keep us safe and God Bless America."
