Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) today issued the following statement on the twelfth anniversary of September 11th, 2001:
"Twelve years ago, the United States was senselessly targeted in an unprovoked attack. We lost over 3,000 of our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, friends and companions that clear September day. An attack meant to diminish the light of America's experiment in democracy has resulted in the spread of freedom abroad and physical security here at home. One by one, our nation's armed forces are bringing to justice those who seek to do us harm.
"We await the day when justice is served on behalf of the four brave Americans whose lives were savagely taken from us one year ago in the September 11, 2012 terror attack in Benghazi.
"I join in the prayers of remembrance and reflection on this somber day and ask all men and women of goodwill to spend time today in service to others."
