Today the House approved H.R. 2009, legislation "Keep the IRS Off Your Healthcare" that would prohibit the Secretary of the Treasury or the IRS from implementing ObamaCare. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) was pleased to support it as she believes this bureaucracy laden healthcare system is a monstrous power grab that will not improve the medical care of American families.

The "Keep the IRS Off Your Healthcare" legislation would break the nonsensical union that ObamaCare would establish between the IRS and one's private healthcare information. ObamaCare is threatening job creation and may turn full time jobs into part time jobs. This legislation is another attempt to stop ObamaCare before it intrudes further into our economy.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, "ObamaCare is a monstrous federal power grab that will not improve medical care for American families and is hampering job creation. The IRS has a role in nearly 50 different aspects of ObamaCare. Their involvement is so extensive that they have a department just to implement ObamaCare. The "Keep the IRS Off Your Healthcare' legislation would keep the tax-man out of one of the most personal aspects of our lives. We all know that we can improve our healthcare system, but sadly ObamaCare is not the right prescription that will do so."
