Graves Votes to End IRS Involvement in Obamacare

Statement

Date: Aug. 2, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Sam Graves (MO-06) today issued the following statement after the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2009, the Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act, which prohibits the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from implementing or enforcing any provisions of President Obama's health care law:

"The IRS has already proven it is unwilling or unable to fairly enforce our laws. We don't need an army of IRS employees subjecting the American people to more abuse, targeting and harassment in their health care decisions. This simple, two-page bill will avert a coming disaster by preventing the IRS' involvement in the president's health care law."
