Rep. Gosar: IRS Not Likely To Respect Medical Privacy

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement after voting in favor of the Keep the IRS Off Your Health Care Act of 2013 (H.R. 2009), legislation that will prohibit the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from implementing or enforcing any provisions of Obamacare:

"An IRS that does not respect people's constitutional rights is not likely to respect medical privacy either. This makes the very thought of the agency implementing or enforcing Obamacare horrifying to most Americans. This legislation keeps the IRS -- known for doing two things well, collecting taxes and targeting the president's political opponents -- out of healthcare."

Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. is one of two dentists serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and a member of the GOP Doctors Caucus.
