Black Takes Action to Protect All Americans from Obamacare

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Congressman Diane Black (R-TN) released the following statement regarding the bipartisan passage of legislation delaying Obamacare's employer mandate and individual mandate: The Authority for Mandate Delay Act (H.R. 2667) and The Fairness for American Families Act (H.R. 2668).

"With my support, the House has once again taken action to provide relief to all Americans from Obamacare. It is simply not fair of President Obama to give businesses an exemption from his costly health care law without making the same allowance for individuals and families. I urge the Senate to take up the House-passed bills, common sense legislation that rectifies the president's legally suspect and categorically unfair decision to only offer relief from Obamacare to big businesses but not families and individuals. I am committed to doing everything I can to protect all Americans from any and all costly and harmful provisions of Obamcare. The fact remains, anything short of full repeal is not enough, and that is why I will continue to fight tooth and nail and will pursue any and all opportunities to protect Americans from this horrendous law," said Congressman Black.
