Dear Friend:
Today I joined with 22 other Senators to call on federal agencies to investigate reports that so-called "debt relief" companies are deceiving and defrauding students by charging them exorbitant fees to participate in free federal student loan management programs.
We owe it to our students -- and to taxpayers -- to make sure unscrupulous businesses are not taking advantage of young people struggling to afford college.
