Blackburn, Energy & Commerce Committee Leaders Launch Investigation Into Delay Of Obamacare Employer Mandate

Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) today joined leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee in an effort to get answers from Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew about the implementation of Obamacare.

In light of the administration's announcement that it would delay the full implementation of the health care law's employer mandate for one year, committee leaders sent letters to HHS and the Treasury Department requesting documents and information regarding the decision.

"I am glad to see the Obama administration has finally recognized what the rest of America already knows -- Obamacare is a "train wreck' and not ready for prime time," Blackburn said. "Businesses small and large across Tennessee have shared with me the burdens that Obamacare is placing on them. People don't just want to see this flawed law delayed. They want it fully repealed."
