Joint Statement by House GOP Leaders on Obamacare

Press Release

The following statement was issued today by House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Republican Conference Chairman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA):

"The Administration has been busy granting waivers, delays, and special carve outs from the burdens of ObamaCare to special interests and those with Washington lobbyists, but the American people keep getting left behind. The President owes the American people an answer: why does he think businesses deserve a one year delay from the mandates in ObamaCare, but middle class families and hardworking Americans don't?

"It's time to put people first, repeal this entire law, and start over with patient-centered reforms that protect families, improve our health care system, and restore personal freedom. House Republicans will continue to fight towards this end, on behalf of each individual citizen of this great land. It's time for a permanent delay of ObamaCare."
