U.S. Representative Gary Peters today expressed his frustration over the U.S. House Majority's renewed push for unconstitutional measures attacking women's health. Peters is especially troubled by Congress' priorities as gridlock continues to prevent common-sense resolutions to create jobs and prevent student loan interest rates from doubling. He will vote against Congressman Franks' anti-choice legislation that criminalizes access to critical health care.

"Michigan middle class families do not deserve another unconstitutional overreach from Congress to restrict women's health care choices," Peters said. "I urge Congress to stop the inappropriate political grandstanding attacking women's health care and focus on rebuilding our economy and middle class."
