Issue Position

Our office sponsored a bill which requires institutions of higher education to provide prospective students with crucial information when receiving financial aid. In coordination with this effort, we pushed additional legislation focused upon easing the financial burden which many students face through high interest student loans. We view this initiative as a priority in order to prevent interest rates from doubling for these young individuals. Finally, we have also supported legislation that will encourage our veterans, who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom, to pursue access to institutions of higher education upon their return from service.
