Rahall Statement for Mother's Day

Statement

Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Family

U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.) issued the following statement Friday in honor of Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12th:

"This Mother's Day, as each of us pauses to honor our mom, we can think back to how we clung to her when we were so very young. How we relied on her through childhood, but did wonder, how could she possibly be just everywhere through our teens? In young adulthood, we sought her guidance on those major decisions to chart our futures. And then we longed to see her face or just hear her voice when we moved away from home. Now we find ourselves relying on her wisdom to guide ourselves and our own little ones. What better gift than to share that fact with her on this day set aside for the Almighty's angels here on earth."
